Tara Fournier is the current President at Professionals In Human Resources Association (PIHRA). Tara has held this position since March of 2022. Prior to their current role, they served as the Vice President of Human Resources at VIZIO from October of 2019 to March of 2022.
At VIZIO, Tara led and scaled the end-to-end Human Resources function, driving strategy and culture, overseeing Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, Benefits, Compensation, Payroll, Talent Management, HRIS, Compliance, Learning & Development, and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion. The HR team grew from 8 members to 28 members in Tara's 2 years leading the department.
Tara also led VIZIO through their initial public offering (IPO) and transition from private to public entity. Tara developed and rolled out an enhanced post-public Total Rewards philosophy, designed the executive and employee equity structure, and enhanced benefits offerings to attract and retain talent (expanding time off, paid leave, 401(k) matching, tuition repayment program and ESPP). The HR operations function was updated to align with SOX compliance, process documentation, operational controls and segregation of duties.

Tara Fournier holds a Master of Science in Human Resources from UMass Global, a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership from UMass Global, and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications - Public Relations from California State University, Fullerton. Tara also holds certificates from The George Washington University in Human Resources and from ASAE University (American Society of Association Executives) in Association Management. Tara is certified by SHRM as a Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) and by the HR Certification Institute as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).
