Richard J. Żak

Richard J. Żak has a long and varied work experience. From 2000 to 2003 they were the Associate Director of Technology at The Odyssey School, where they managed computers and network infrastructure, provided technical support, and evaluated vendors/products. In 2003 they became the Webmaster for the Baltimore County Department of Recreation and Parks. From 2005 to 2006 they were a Web Application Developer at Vivakos, Inc., where they developed ColdFusion, Java, ASP/VB Dot Net, JavaScript/AJAX and HTML code for custom enterprise information systems. In 2006 they became a Technical Consultant at Search Technologies, where they integrated search applications into the Enterprise with products by Fast and Convera. From 2007 to 2008 they were a Lead Associate at Booz Allen Hamilton. From 2008 to 2012 they were a Freelance Web Developer, and from 2012 to 2019 they were an Adjunct Professor at the University of Maryland Baltimore County. Richard J. is currently a Senior Software Engineer at Profian, a position they have held since 2022.

Richard J. Żak obtained a BS in Information Systems from the University of Maryland Baltimore County in 2006. Richard J. then went on to receive a Master's of Professional Studies (MPS) in Cybersecurity from the same institution in 2017. In 2018, they earned a Graduate Certificate in Data Science from the University of Maryland Baltimore County. In 2014, they obtained an ICAgile Professional certification from ICAgile.
