Arun Channan

Arun Channan has a diverse work experience spanning several years.

Arun started their career in 1986 at Deloitte & Touche, where they served as a Principal for a period of five years.

In 1993, they joined the Learning Enrichment Foundation as a Trainer. Arun held this role until 1994.

In 1996, Arun joined myndwerx as a Human Resource Expert. In this position, they helped organizations identify and retain top talent, and also served as a Master Sales Coach for high-performing sales teams. Arun used data-driven tools to enhance the effectiveness of leaders and improve team performance.

In 2000, Arun joined Profiles International as a Strategic Business Partner, a role in which they are currently engaged.

Arun Channan's education history begins in 1980 when they enrolled at the University of Toronto to pursue a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Civil Engineering, which they completed in 1985. After obtaining their BASc degree, they went on to attend the Ivey Business School at Western University from 1983 to 1985. During this time, they earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.

Prior to their enrollment at Western University, Arun spent a year at the University of Waterloo from 1982 to 1983. During this time, they pursued a Master of Applied Science (MASC) degree with a focus on Project and Construction Management.

In addition to their educational qualifications, Arun has obtained several certifications throughout their career. In 1982, they became a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) certified by the Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO). More recently, in 2021, they obtained the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation from FP Canada, and they also hold the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation from the same institution, which they acquired in January of that year. Arun has obtained various other certifications, including the PXT Select™ Certification from PXT Select™ in 2017, and certifications related to dementia care consulting, financial ethics, and leadership development from respective institutions in earlier years.

Furthermore, Arun is an Associate Member of Advocis since September 2015, indicating their affiliation with the financial services industry. Arun has also completed various training programs offered by FranklinCovey on topics such as leadership, execution, and crucial conversations. Additionally, they have received certifications from Profiles International in various assessment tools and completed the Essentials of Governance program offered by the Maytree Foundation.
