Shujia Dai

Director of Proteomics at ProFound Therapeutics

Shujia Dai is a proteomics expert with extensive experience in the field. Shujia began their career in 2005 as a Post-Doctoral Research Associate at Northeastern University's Barnett Institute, where they optimized sample preparation procedures for full characterization and quantification of target proteins with PTMs. Shujia then progressed to Senior Scientist and Principal Scientist roles before becoming a Research Assistant Professor. In 2013, they moved to Sanofi, where they were the Senior Principal Scientist and Lab Head of Proteomics. During their time there, they established multiple platforms using MS-based technologies and developed SRM assays for large scale validation of biomarkers in biological samples. In 2021, they joined Flagship Pioneering as Associate Director and then Director of Proteomics, leading a proteomics group and establishing a proteomics platform. In 2022, they were appointed Director of Proteomics at ProFound Therapeutics.

Shujia Dai earned a B.S. in Pharmacy from Shenyang Pharmaceutical University between 1995 and 2000. Following that, they obtained a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from Beijing Institute of Radiation Medicine between 2000 and 2005.
