Andesia Dejesus

Andesia DeJesus currently serves as the Dean of Instruction at Breakthrough Public Schools, where responsibilities include designing systems for assessing student achievement, managing testing schedules, and collaborating with school leadership to enhance student support. Previous experience includes roles as Manager of Corps Member Development and Corps Member Advisor at Teach For America, where Andesia guided corps members in developing teaching goals and analyzed student progress data to inform instructional strategies. Additional experience encompasses positions as a Classroom Teacher at National Heritage Academies and Houston ISD, Assistant Principal of School Culture at Horizon Science Academy, and Founding 3rd Grade Teacher at KIPP NJ. Andesia holds a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Kentucky and a Master of Education in Instructional Leadership from Sam Houston State University.
