Raj Hundal

Senior Director Of Employment, Planning & Program Development at Progressive Intercultural Community Services (PICS) Society

Raj Hundal has a diverse range of work experience. Raj started in 2008 as a Commissioner for the Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation. From 2009 to 2011, they worked as a Settlement/Public Legal Education and Information Worker at the Progressive Intercultural Community Services (PICS) Society. In 2011, they became an Advisor at the Office of The Leader of the Official Opposition. From 2012 to 2014, they served as a Self-Serve Coordinator at WorkBC (Progressive Intercultural Community Services Society). Raj then transitioned to roles at WorkBC as a Community Engagement Coordinator from 2015 to 2016 and as a Job Developer from 2016 to 2017. In 2017, they joined Langara College as an Instructor in Career Development Practitioner. Simultaneously, they also held positions at the Progressive Intercultural Community Services (PICS) Society, starting as a Manager of Employment Programs in 2017, then becoming the Director of Employment Programs and Planning until 2023. During this time, they also took on the role of Senior Director of Employment, Planning & Program Development in 2023. In 2019, Raj became a Director at ASPECT BC - Association of Service Providers for Employability and Career Training. Raj is currently working as a Library Board Trustee at the Burnaby Public Library starting in 2024.

Raj Hundal received a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from The University of British Columbia in 2001. Later on, in 2003 to 2006, they pursued a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from The University of Manchester. In 2010, Raj Hundal obtained a Grant and Proposal Writing Certificate from the British Columbia Institute of Technology. Finally, in 2017, they completed a Career Development program and received a CCDP from the BC Career Development Association.
