Andrew Towsley

Andrew Towsley has a diverse work experience in plant operations and manufacturing. Andrew is currently working as the Plant Operations Manager at Progressive Planet, where they lead the development of a safety-oriented team culture and ensures the production of high-quality products on time and within budget. Prior to this, Andrew worked at Absorbent Products Ltd. for over 12 years, starting as a Bagger and progressing to the roles of Crewleader/Production Operator, Millwright, and Operations Coordinator. In these roles, they demonstrated strong leadership skills, maintained compliance with regulations, implemented safety procedures, coordinated hiring and training, and managed documentation and audits. Andrew has a proven track record of identifying areas of improvement and implementing effective work procedures and practices.

Andrew Towsley began their education journey at the British Columbia Institute of Technology from 2009 to 2011, where they obtained a Red Seal Millwright degree in the field of Millwright. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor of Technology in Trades and Technology Leadership with a focus on Operations Management and Supervision at Thompson Rivers University from 2020 to 2024. Andrew has also acquired several additional certifications, including being a CERTIFIED LEAN AGILE GREENBELT CHAMPION from Lean Sensei International in July 2022, FSPCA Preventive Controls for Animal Food from the Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance in July 2018, and Occupational First Aid Level 3 from Valley First Aid Training in January 2021. Andrew has also completed courses in Incident Investigation and Joint Health & Safety Committee from the Manufacturing Safety Alliance of BC. Additionally, Andrew holds a Red Seal Millwright certification from the Industry Training Authority, although the specific date of obtaining is not provided.
