Prohoc
Timo Kumara has extensive experience in project management and engineering roles. Timo started their career at Outotec as a Research Metallurgist, working on process control and development tasks in smelters and electrolysis. Timo then became a Development Manager and Team Leader for a research group.
In 2008, Timo joined Citec Group as a Project Manager and Engineering Manager, overseeing multi-discipline engineering projects in the energy, oil, and gas sectors.
Timo later worked at Prohoc as a Technical Consultant and Senior Technical Specialist. Timo also had a brief period of self-employment as a Project Management Consultant.
Returning to Citec Group in 2017, Timo took on the role of Chief Project Engineer and later Senior Chief Project Engineer, responsible for the qualification tasks and installation/commissioning follow-up for a challenging Nuclear Emergency Diesel Generator project.
Currently, Timo is employed as a Senior Project Manager at Prohoc, where they continue to utilize their project management expertise.
From 1994 to 2000, Timo Kumara attended the University of Oulu, where they obtained a M.Sc. (Eng.) degree in Process & Environmental Engineering. Additionally, Timo Kumara obtained a certification in IPMA-C from the International Project Management Association in June 2021.
