George Ward is an experienced procurement professional currently serving as the Procurement Manager at Verne since January 2022, overseeing Electrical and Thermal commodities. Previously, George held the role of Buyer at Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd, focusing on Chassis systems for the Valkyrie project and leading procurement improvement initiatives. George began a career in procurement with a placement at Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd, contributing to both the Procurement & Supply Chain Development Team and the Indirect Procurement Team. Prior experience includes a business analyst internship and a role as a referee with Staffordshire Football Association Ltd, showcasing strong decision-making and communication skills. George earned a degree in Business Management from the University of Birmingham, complemented by a comprehensive education at the City of Stoke-on-Trent Sixth Form College.
