Barbara Celona

Barbara Celona, PhD, serves as the Science Director at Project 8p Foundation, drawing on extensive experience in academia and industry. Previously, Barbara worked as an Academic Researcher at the University of California, San Francisco, and as an Early-Stage Venture Advisor for Biotech Connection - Bay Area, Inc. In addition, Barbara held the role of Scientific Co-Founder at Mercury Epigenomics LLC and served as a Startup Advisor at the UCSF Entrepreneurship Center. Barbara obtained a PhD in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from Libera Università Vita-Salute San Raffaele and holds a Master's degree in Medical Biotechnologies from Università degli Studi di Padova.
