Emad al Shammari

Senior Director, Global Supply Chain & Security at Project HOPE

Emad Al Shammari has extensive work experience in supply chain management, logistics, and operations in the humanitarian and development sector. Emad has held various roles in organizations such as Project HOPE, International Advisory, Products and Systems (i-APS), International Medical Corps, and Mercy Corps. Emad's experience includes managing global supply chain and security, coordinating emergency response logistics, and designing and implementing operational and logistics strategies. Emad has also provided capacity building and training programs, conducted assessments and analysis, and established supply chain management processes. Emad has a background in IT as well, having worked as an IT Manager and Desktop Support Engineer.

Emad Al Shammari holds a Micro Master's degree in Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management from MIT Professional Education, which they attained from 2023 to 2025. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in computer science from Al Ma`mon University Collage-Iraq, which they completed from 1998 to 2002. In addition to their formal education, Emad Al Shammari has obtained several certifications, including "(HEAT) Hostile Environments & Emergency First Aid-High Risk" from GJS (Global Journalist Security) in December 2022, "Disaster Response Team Training - Level II & III" from DHL in July 2022, "BBR (Building a Better Response)" from Harvard University in June 2015, and CCNA from Cisco in April 2006.
