Luciano Resende

Luciano Resende is an experienced professional in artificial intelligence and machine learning, currently working at Apple since October 2021 on the AI/ML platform. A Distinguished Contributor to Project Jupyter since November 2020, Luciano has made significant contributions to the Jupyter project. As a member of The Apache Software Foundation since 2006, Luciano holds the title of Committer and PMC member at the Apache Tuscany Project and serves as Vice President of Community Development, focusing on outreach and mentorship within the community. Prior professional experience includes roles as a Senior Technical Staff Member and Data Science Platform Architect at IBM, Engineering Manager at Shutterfly, and Senior Software Engineer at IBM and other companies. Luciano pursued education at Harvard University and Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso.
