Ashley Bocanegra

Ashley Bocanegra has a strong background in education, starting as a Science Teacher/Activities Director in 2008 and later transitioning to roles in curriculum development and teacher training at Kern High School District. Ashley excelled in developing NGSS-aligned content, facilitating training programs, and leading STEM initiatives to engage students and enhance learning outcomes. Ashley also served as a Mentor Teacher, supporting new educators in expanding their teaching skills. In 2022, they took on the role of Director of Strategic Accounts at Project Lead The Way, overseeing accounts in California, Colorado, Hawaii, Oregon, and Washington. Throughout their career, Ashley has shown a dedication to promoting academic achievement, fostering leadership opportunities, and creating inclusive learning environments.

Ashley Bocanegra completed their Bachelor of Science in Biology at California State University, Bakersfield in 2007. Ashley then obtained a Single Subject Teaching Credential from the same university in 2008. Throughout their career, they have also acquired additional certifications such as AVID Elevate XP, Social Emotional Learning Level II, MakerSpace Training, and various PLTW certifications in different fields.
