Project Management Institute Singapore Chapter
Alicja Kocańda is a culturally astute PMP with multifaceted, cross-functional international experience, who made Singapore her home in 2013.
As a natural organizer - attentive to detail and acutely aware of cause and effect - being the bridge between subject matter experts and business development or sales has been a constant throughout her career. Open and effective communication granted her access to influence C-suite decision makers and engage stakeholders throughout organizations. Breadth of international experience and exposure to multiple industries lets her empathize with different individuals and appreciate their viewpoints. People feel at ease working with her and entrust with sensitive activities.
After being re-elected with flying colours for the second 2020-21 term, Alicja continued to successfully run communications & marketing, which is a two person job. She also took over the reins for Chapter’s 15th Symposium that everyone was anticipating and expecting to earn PDUs from. People know her for turning challenges into opportunities and converting this mega-event to a virtual experience was the most thrilling accomplishment of her 2020. She is pleased to receive very positive feedback even though such setup was a first for the Chapter. This also won the group the “Fearless Outcomes” Award in the PMI Region. What is more, her main goal was preserving socially responsible notification and focus on the big picture to avoid random messaging. Lastly, she led the introduction of e-voting so all of the Members can finally have an equal say in matters that are relevant.
