Stephanie Otero

Stephanie Otero, CPA, has extensive experience in the accounting and nonprofit sectors. Currently serving as a Board Member for Project Sanctuary and as the Associate Director for the Not-For-Profit section at AICPA, Stephanie provides expertise to both organizations. Previous roles include Chief Financial Officer at Sustainable Horizons Institute, where the focus was on providing STEM opportunities, and CEO & CFO at Feeding America Riverside | San Bernardino, where the aim was to eliminate hunger. Stephanie founded Above Par Accounting and owned a full-service accounting firm, also specializing in nonprofit organizations and small businesses. Starting a career as a Senior Accountant at Maryanov Madsen Gordon & Campbell, Stephanie holds a BS in Accounting from San Diego State University.
