Matt Dreier, MBA has a diverse range of work experience. Matt currently holds the role of Director of People & Strategic Operations at Project Success, where they are responsible for overseeing the organization's people and strategic operations. Prior to this, they served as the Director of External Programs & Operations at Project Success from July 2019 to March 2022. From June 2015 to July 2019, Matt held the position of Director of Operations at the same company.
In addition to their work at Project Success, Matt has also worked as a Lecturer at the University of Minnesota from January 2019 to December 2020, teaching a course on "Nonprofits & Mission-Driven Organizations." Matt also worked as a Co-Lecturer at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from September 2013 to May 2015, teaching a course on "Arts Enterprise: Art as Business as Art."
Before their career in education, Matt gained valuable experience at Groupon, where they held multiple roles including Merchant Escalation Specialist, Now! National Verification Specialist, and Now! Division Lead. During their time at Groupon, they successfully negotiated over 1.5 million dollars in company savings through merchant escalation disputes and settlements, launched a Global Risk Management Zendesk platform, and coordinated multiple communication platforms to streamline interorganizational issues.
Matt also has experience in the theater industry, having worked as the Company Manager & Producer at UrbanTheater Company from September 2010 to July 2013. Matt co-founded and served as the Producing Director of Whiskey Neat Productions from 2011 to 2013, and also held the position of Producing Artistic Director at Blatant Testimony Theatre from April 2010 to April 2011.
Matt Dreier, MBA, holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Arts Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, which they obtained from 2013 to 2015. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate studies at Coe College from 2005 to 2009, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science & Theater Arts. In 2008, they attended Queen's University Belfast for a non-degree program in International Negotiations & Conflict Resolution. Additionally, Matt has obtained several certifications, including a Veterans At Work Certificate and a Getting Talent Back to Work Certificate from SHRM in 2023, an Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certification from the American Red Cross in 2022, a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education in 2021, a Fostering Inclusion and Diversity Certificate from the Yale School of Management in 2020, an Entrepreneurship Certificate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2015, and a Youth Mental Health First Aid Certification from Mental Health First Aid USA in 2020.
