Stephen Romaniello has worked in a variety of roles in the scientific field. In 2021, they began their current role as the Director of Research at Project Vesta. From 2019-2021, they were the Gerald D. Sisk Associate Professor of Isotope Geochemistry at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. From 2014-2019, they were the Assistant Research Scientist at the ASU School of Earth and Space Exploration. Their role included managing the W. M. Center for Meteorite Studies, School of Earth and Space Exploration, Arizona State University, where they were the Research Administrator/Laboratory Manager from 2012-2014. In this role, they managed the Isotope Cosmochemistry and Geochronology Laboratory and worked closely with graduate students and collaborators to maximize laboratory productivity and ensure data quality.
Stephen Romaniello began their education in 2001, when they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Science of Earth Systems from Cornell University (Magma Cum Laude). Stephen then continued their studies at Cornell University, earning a Master's degree in Geological Sciences in 2008. Finally, they completed their education in 2012, when they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Geological Sciences from Arizona State University.
