Sara Litman

Sara Litman is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in the judiciary and prosecution. Currently serving as a Criminal Court Judge and previously as Principal Court Attorney and Principal Law Clerk at the New York State Unified Court System since June 2007, Sara Litman specializes in substantive and procedural criminal law, writing court orders and memoranda of law. Prior to this role, Sara Litman worked as a Senior Assistant District Attorney at the Kings County District Attorney's Office from September 2000 to June 2007, where responsibilities included the prosecution of felony and misdemeanor offenses, witness preparation, and managing complex cases. Sara Litman earned a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Brooklyn Law School and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in English Language and Literature from the University of Michigan.
