James Vasta

James Vasta is a highly experienced Senior Research Scientist in Target Engagement at Promega Corporation, where since February 2016, the focus has been on developing cellular assays for pathway analysis and intracellular target engagement, collaborating with key players in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors. Prior to this role, James served as a Senior Scientist in Biopharmaceuticals at PPD, carrying out method development and validation of biopharmaceutical compounds in compliance with cGMPs. James's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from The University of Wisconsin-Madison and a B.S. in Biochemistry from Lafayette College, complemented by a research tenure as a Chemical Biologist at The Raines Laboratory at UW-Madison, where essential work on collagen prolyl 4-hydroxylases (CP4Hs) was conducted.
