Angelo Tantazzi

Founder & Chairman at Prometeia

Angelo Tantazzi is the Founder and Chairman of Prometeia. He is currently Vice President of the publishing house "Il Mulino". Graduated from Bocconi in Milan, he completed his studies at the Brookings Institution in Washington. Until 2001 Professor of Economic Policy at the University of Bologna. For over ten years President of Borsa Italiana (July 2000-June 2011) and Vice President of the London Stock Exchange from 2007 to 2010. Economic Advisor to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers from 1996 to 1998, member of the Technical Scientific Committee of the Ministry of Budget since 1993 to 1997 and to the Superior Council of ISTAT from 1980 to 1983. In the 1980s he was a member of various government study commissions: the Commission on energy policy, the Technical Commission for public spending, the Technical-Scientific Commission of the Economics Group, energy and development and the Commission on public expenditure planning procedures at the Ministry of the Treasury. In the same years he was a member of the Scientific Committee of the National Institute for Foreign Trade.
