Cory Bassett, CLSSGB

Cory Bassett, CLSSGB, has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Starting in 2010, Cory worked as an Air Traffic Controller for the United States Air Force, where they controlled and regulated en route and terminal air traffic. They also served as an Airfield Operations Supervisor and Airfield Operations Manager, establishing performance standards and orchestrating alliances within the airfield operations scope.

From 2019 to 2020, Cory took on the role of Airfield Management Training Manager, where they developed and executed an Airfield Management Training Program in compliance with Air Force strategy. They then transitioned to become an Airfield Manager (Civilian), overseeing airfield management services and providing guidance to staff.

In 2021, Cory joined the American Red Cross as a Regional Planning and Readiness Manager. In this role, they led a volunteer team, providing information, planning, and situational awareness expertise. They also translated national target goals for the region and local communities, implementing technical expertise, training, and implementation.

In 2022, Cory became a Project Manager at Prometheus Group, successfully planning, scheduling, and executing multiple concurrent software implementation projects. They ensured project requirements were met for scope, schedule, and cost, delivering full-cycle software implementation, consultation, user training, and custom development.

Currently, Cory is a Production Manager / Technical Project Manager at Promising People, where they oversee production processes and manage technical projects.

Cory Bassett, CLSSGB, has a diverse education history spanning from high school to higher education and obtaining professional certifications.

Cory completed high school at Plainfield North High School in 2008, where they received a high school diploma with a focus on general studies.

In 2010, Cory enrolled at the Community College of the Air Force and pursued an Associate of Arts and Sciences degree in Aviation/Airway Management and Operations. They successfully completed their studies in 2017.

Continuing their educational journey, Cory attended the University of Phoenix from 2013 to 2019, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology.

Cory has also obtained additional certifications to enhance their professional skills. In August 2020, they obtained a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (ICGB) certification from the University of South Carolina School of Information Science. Additionally, in June 2020, Cory obtained a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the same institution.
