Dr John L Evans Jr

Dr. John L. Evans Jr. currently serves as a Venture Partner at Parkway Venture Capital and as a Member of the Board of Trustees at the University of Central Florida, both positions held since January 2025. As President of EvansandEvans Consulting since May 2021 and Co-Founder of Promising People since March 2024, Dr. Evans focuses on innovative solutions to reduce recidivism through virtual reality education. Previous roles include Vice Chairman at the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, Head of Business and Corporate Partner Development at the Crummer Graduate School of Business, and Executive Consultant at Schroders. With a background as Executive Director of Janus Henderson Labs and Vice President of Business Development at American Century Investments, Dr. Evans holds a BA from the University of Florida, an MBA from the University of Miami, and a Doctorate in Education from Pepperdine University.
