Josu Alonso Castanedo

Josu Alonso Castanedo has a diverse range of work experience. Josu started their career as an Information Assistant at Grupo Constant in 2014, where they provided valuable information to clients and reported feedback to management. In 2016, they worked as a Responsible for a consulting mission at i-wantit, where they calculated and communicated possible scenarios, reported project needs to managers and developers, and analyzed the project budget.

In 2017, Josu worked as an Income Auditor Trainee at Dolce La Hulpe Brussels, where they calculated profits, prepared VAT statements, verified reports from night auditors, and ensured proper treatment of accounting data.

In 2018, they joined Media ADgo! as a Financial Specialist, responsible for accounting and financial procedures in the Spanish and French markets. Josu also maintained and exploited client and provider databases and created dashboards to translate company data into business decisions.

Since 2020, Josu has been working at PromoFarma by DocMorris. Josu started as a Data Analyst, designing and improving data models for decision-making, creating KPI-based reports for the executive board, and developing tools for efficient reactions to deviations. In 2022, they transitioned to the role of Data Scientist, where they designed and implemented a fraud detection model, trained Universal Language Models, and made continuous improvements to the pricing algorithm for more profitable business.

Josu Alonso Castanedo has a strong educational background with a focus on data science and international business. Josu obtained a Master's degree in Data Science from the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, studying from 2020 to 2022. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in International Finance from KEDGE Business School, studying from 2015 to 2018. Josu also holds another Bachelor's degree in International Business from the Universitat de València, where they studied from 2013 to 2018.

In addition to their formal education, Josu has also gained several certifications to enhance their skills and expertise. These include a TensorFlow Developer Certificate from DeepLearning.AI, obtained in July 2022, and a Deep Learning Specialization from Coursera, obtained in April 2022. Josu also completed a course on Machine Learning from Coursera in March 2021.

Josu has also achieved proficiency in languages. Josu obtained the TCF Note 538 - C1 Level in French from the CIEP Centre d'Information et d'Education Populaire in November 2016. In July 2014, they obtained the First Certificate in English from the University of Cambridge. Josu also has a TOEFL iBT Score of 107/120, obtained in December 2019, and a TOEIC Score of 970/990 - C1 Level in English, obtained in November 2016.
