John V. Jurica

Dr. Jurica has spent nearly 30 years in the medical profession in a clinical and/or administrative capacity as an actively licensed and certified family physician. As a senior executive at a regional medical center south of Chicago, he has successfully developed and implemented strategic initiatives enabling his health system to achieve excellent outcomes, outstanding patient safety and consistent growth and operating margins. As a family physician, he cared for thousands of patients of all ages in the Kankakee area.

Prior to serving in his role as Medical Director at PromptMed Urgent Care, Dr. Jurica was Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee, IL. Previously, Dr. Jurica worked as Vice President for Medical Affairs while simultaneously practicing as a family physician for Family Medicine Associates, where he was also an owner and Managing Partner. Dr. Jurica started his career as a family physician at Kankakee Family Medicine, also working part time as an occupational medicine physician for Riverside Medical Center.

Dr. Jurica completed his family medicine residency at the University of Illinois/Rockford Medical Education Foundation, where he served as Chief Resident in his final year. He received his B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Illinois at Chicago, his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Urbana-Champaign and his Masters in Public Health from the Medical
