Matt Van has extensive work experience in various technology-related roles. Matt is currently serving as the Head of Engineering at Proof of Play. Prior to this, Matt was the Founder and CTO of Optic Power, where they played a crucial role in scaling the company from 2 to over 350 employees. Matt also worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Riot Games, where they led the development of League of Legends Live Stats for Esports. Additionally, Matt has experience as a Founder of Bark, a communication platform for gamers, and as the CTO of Curious Minds, where they managed an Agile Development Engineering department. Matt was also a Co-Founder and CTO of Washio, a company that developed a transaction-based reservation system, and served as the CTO of Ringadoc, where they digitized doctors' phone lines and provided a communication platform for better patient care. Matt started their career as a Software Engineer at TeleSign, where they worked on enterprise-level telephone verification software. Matt also co-founded Mumsweb, an Australian parenting website, and worked as an Implementation Specialist at Channel Advisor.

Matt Van has completed a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology - Computer Science from Swinburne University of Technology. Additionally, they have obtained a Cisco CCNA Certificate from Box Hill Tafe. Matt also holds Duolingo Spanish Fluency: Elementary certification from Duolingo.
