Brandon Smith started their work experience as a Contract Software Engineer at Cubic Defense Applications in 2012. Brandon then worked as an IDEA Project Lead, Software Team Lead, Controls Team Member, and EcoCAR I & II Project member at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University from 2009 to 2013. In 2012, they returned to Cubic Defense Applications as a Senior Lead Software Engineer. From 2012 to 2013, they worked as a Software Engineer II at Electronic Arts, where they were involved in game feature implementation and bug fixing. Brandon joined Electronic Arts (EA) in 2015 as a Software Engineer II and then moved to Bloomberg LP as a Senior Software Engineer from 2019 to 2020. At MadHive, they worked as a Software Engineer from 2020 to 2021. Brandon then worked at Snapyr as a Software Architect from 2021 to 2023, where they played a key role in scaling the backend platform and was responsible for the hiring process. Following that, they owned and operated ghost-pool.io, a Kaspa mining pool, from 2022 to 2023. Currently, they are working as a Principal Engineer - Backend at ProofPilot since 2023.

Brandon Smith graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering and Computer Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 2011. In October 2014, they obtained a Secret Clearance certification, although the institution where they completed this certification is unknown.
