Debra Kurshan

Debra Kurshan serves as the Chief Operating Officer at Propel America since May 2019, focusing on equipping students with necessary skills and credentials for upwardly mobile job transitions post-graduation. Prior experience includes a tenure at EY-Parthenon from August 2013 to April 2019 as Vice President, providing strategic advice to various sectors while managing project teams. Debra Kurshan has held leadership roles such as Chief Turnaround Officer at the Connecticut State Department of Education and Chief Operating Officer of the NYC Department of Education's Office of Innovation, among others. An alumna of Columbia Business School with an MBA, Debra Kurshan also holds a BA in Urban Studies from the University of Pennsylvania.
