Carrie McCrea

Director, Data Success at Propeller Aerobotics

Carrie McCrea is currently the Director of Data Success at Propeller Aerobotics. Prior to this, they were the Regional GIS Coordinator for the Rockies at SWCA Environmental Consultants. In this role, Carrie was responsible for developing and managing the GIS program for the Rockies Region, which includes Oregon, Washington, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, and South Dakota. Carrie also coached, mentored, motivated, and supervised 30 geospatial professionals.

At Wood (formerly Amec Foster Wheeler), Carrie served as the GIS Group Manager. In this role, they provided coordination and technical oversight for GIS Services for a variety of industries including government, land development, mining, oil & gas, power generation & transmission, transportation, and water.

Carrie began their career in GIS as an intern at West Metro Fire Rescue in 2003. Carrie then went on to serve as the GIS Lab Manager and Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at Metro State College of Denver from 2002-2004.

Carrie McCrea has a BS in Geographic Information Science from Metropolitan State College of Denver, a degree in political science from Regis University, and a graduate degree in GIS / RS from the University of Colorado Denver. Carrie also has certification from AMEC Environment & Infrastructure as a Certified Project Manager and from the GIS Certification Institute (GISCI) as a GISP.
