Darren Pettyjohn

Darren Pettyjohn has extensive experience in the insurance industry. In 2014, they co-founded Proper Insurance Services, LLC, where they developed a custom insurance product for vacation rental property owners. Darren co-founded Waivo™ in 2020, a program that provides peace of mind protection for rental managers, owners, and guests. Also in 2020, they co-founded Wister Insurance™, an experienced hospitality insurance provider. Prior to these ventures, Darren worked as a Sales Manager at CBIZ and as a Senior Account Executive at Trade Risk Guaranty. Darren has also held positions at Disability Specialists Inc. and Summit Corporate Services Inc. where they gained valuable customer service and inventory management experience.

Darren Pettyjohn earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Montana State University-Bozeman, which they attended from 1998 to 2005. Prior to that, in 1997 and 1998, they studied Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services at Sierra Nevada College. In addition to their academic education, Darren has obtained certifications in Property, Casualty, Surety, Life, and Health Insurance Licenses from the State of Montana.
