David Nicol

David Nicol has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. David was the Board Director/Audit Chair at CCUR Holdings, Inc from February 2018. Prior to that, they served as the Board Director / Audit and Compensation Chair at Evolving Systems starting in March 2004. David was also a Board Director at PropertyTrak and Strongwatch Corporation. At Strongwatch Corporation, they were also the President and COO from July 2012 to June 2014.

In addition, David was the Principal at Nicol & Associates from January 2009 to May 2012, where they played a crucial role in the integration and consolidation of two companies into the parent company. David also provided IT organization realignment for a leading provider of private-label credit cards. David served as an Advisory Board Member at the University of Kansas, Information & Telecom Technology Center (ITTC) from 1998 to 2010.

Furthermore, David was the Executive Vice President / CFO at Solutionary from December 2005 to December 2008, where they contributed to the successful turnaround of the Managed Security Services Provider. David also served as an Advisor / Interim Chief Executive Officer at Sipera Systems, where they helped redirect the company's focus towards critical VOIP security solutions and led a successful funding round.

Earlier in their career, David held the position of SVP, Product Management & Development at Verisign Communications Services from December 2001 to December 2003. David had P&L responsibility for five business units and two cost centers, leading the expansion into CALA through the acquisition of a division of Embratel. David also created a new business unit to address CALEA/Patriot Act. Prior to Verisign, they also served as SVP, Product Management & Development at Illuminet, where they played a key role in the company's growth in revenue and operating income through strategic architecture and business model implementation.

David Nicol has a Ph.D. in Industrial Economics and Corporate Finance from Case Western Reserve University. David also holds an M.A. in Business Economics from the Case Institute of Technology, as well as a B.Sc. in Aeronautical Engineering from The Ohio State University.
