Raj Bains

Raj Bains has a wealth of experience in the tech industry. Raj began their career in 2001 as a Research Intern at Inria, where they worked on automatic derivation of hardware from functional language based on polyhedra. Raj then moved to 3Dlabs in 2004 as a Compiler Developer, where they worked on low level JIT optimization including value numbering, graphics features and changes to allocation, scheduling. In 2006, they joined Microsoft as a Software Development Engineer, where they worked on Visual Studio compiler design in development and Microsoft Research. After a year at Microsoft, they moved to RMS as an Engineering Manager, where they led the team that built a new Core Financial Engine in Catastrophic Risk. In 2012, they joined Clustrix, Inc. as the Director of Products, where they were responsible for engineering, product marketing, and product management. In 2014, they joined Hortonworks as a Product Manager for Apache Hive (Hadoop). Raj then moved to Viome in 2016 as Acting VP Engineering/Architect. Finally, they founded Prophecy.io in 2017, where they serve as the Founder and CEO.

Raj Bains attended the University of California, Berkeley from 2014 to 2014, where they obtained an Executive Product Management degree. In 2018, they completed the Startup Accelerator program at the same university. Raj also attended Colorado State University from 2003 to 2004, where they earned an MS in Computer Science. Additionally, they obtained a certification in Modern React with Redux from Udemy.
