Rohit Bakhshi has a long and varied work experience. Rohit began their career in 2006 as a Software Development Intern at Cerner Corp., where they worked with SQL Server 2000, T-SQL and C# programming languages. In 2007, they joined Accenture as a R&D Consultant, where they led the design, development and product strategy for a marketing interactions data platform prototype built on Hadoop, Hbase and Hive technologies. In 2008, they joined Accenture Interactive as a Development Lead for the Accenture Marketing Analytics Platform (AMAP). In 2009, they became Web Chair and a member of the VLAB Executive Team for the MIT/Stanford Venture Lab. From 2011 to 2015, they were a Product Management at Hortonworks, responsible for product management for Hadoop Core. From 2015 to 2017, they were a Product Manager at Meteor Development Group, responsible for product management of commercial SaaS developer tooling and platform offerings. In 2017, they rejoined Confluent as a Product Manager, where they were the product lead for Kafka and Replicator. Rohit also brought to market Confluent Operator. In 2018, they became an Advisor and Co-Founder at Prophecy.io, a Cloud Native Data Engineering product built on Spark & Kubernetes. In 2020, they rejoined Confluent as a Product Manager, where they are responsible for Confluent for Kubernetes and CP-Ansible.
Rohit Bakhshi attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 2003 to 2007, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering.
