Kaz Yamazaki

Kaz Yamazaki is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the interpretation and language services industry. Currently serving as the Director of Recruiting Operations and formerly the Sr. Manager of Interpreter Relations at Propio Language Services since October 2022, Kaz has a solid background in management roles, including OPI Division Manager at Telelanguage from 2005 to October 2022, where oversight of phone and video interpretation services was provided. Additionally, Kaz has entrepreneurial experience as the owner of ChixStix, Portland's first late-night yakitori house, from March 2011 to March 2013, and has worked as a Japanese interpreter for independent contracting from July 2008 to October 2022. Kaz is also a photographer associated with Ahorica since July 2012. Educational qualifications include a degree from Portland State University, completed between 1995 and 2000.
