Nick Hirdt

Nick Hirdt is an experienced engineering professional specializing in product development and manufacturing within the medical device industry. Currently serving as Principal Product Development Engineer at Proprio since March 2021, Nick has previously held multiple engineering roles at EKOS Corp., where responsibilities spanned from Manufacturing Engineer to Senior Product Development Engineer prior to its acquisition by Boston Scientific. During a brief tenure as an Engineering Consultant with Ventec Life Systems, Nick contributed to ventilator production scale-up amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, as Co-Founder and Engineer at South Mountain Medical LLC, Nick engaged in innovation through an accelerator program. Nick's early career included a position as an R&D Engineering Intern at CryoConcepts, LP. Academically, Nick holds dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Bioengineering and Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University.
