Ying Xu

Ying Xu is a skilled engineering professional with extensive experience in product development and manufacturing processes within the biomedical industry. Currently serving as a Principal Product Development Engineer at Abiomed since October 2018, Ying has progressed through various roles, focusing on the commercialization of new products and the integration of design and manufacturing processes to enhance patient outcomes. Previous positions include a Manufacturing Engineer contract role at Abbott, where Ying developed processes for OCT imaging catheters, and a Product Development Coop at CeQur, responsible for developing testing protocols for prototypes. Prior experience at Ambu Ltd involved significant contributions as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer and Manufacturing Engineer, where Ying initiated design changes, developed and validated manufacturing processes, and conducted process capability studies. Ying holds a Master of Science in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from Northeastern University, obtained in 2018.
