Kurt Pieters

Kurt Pieters has a diverse work experience. Kurt is the CEO and Owner of MedicEvac, a company that specializes in medical repatriations. Kurt also serves as a Member and Consultant for various organizations such as Lynk Global, Third Bridge Group Limited, proSapient, AlphaSights, and GLG. Kurt has expertise in healthcare and provides insights in this field. Kurt has also held leadership positions, including Director of a service residence for elderly individuals at Armonea. Additionally, Kurt has worked as a Visiting Lecturer at Thomas More and as the Supervisor of the Medical Backoffice at Touring Club Belgium, where they managed a medical department focused on travel insurance. Kurt's experience includes managing teams, budgets, and process architecture. In 2020, they served as the Director ad interim for three retirement houses at Anima Care during the COVID-19 crisis.

Kurt Pieters has a diverse education history spanning multiple fields and institutions. Kurt began their higher education journey at St-Vincentius college from 1986 to 1992, where they studied Latin and Foreign Languages. After completing their studies at St-Vincentius, Kurt pursued their passion for healthcare by attending KaHo Gent from 1994 to 1997. Here, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse.

Building on their nursing foundation, Kurt continued their education at the University of Antwerp from 1998 to 2000, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Emergency Room/Critical Care. Kurt further expanded their nursing knowledge and expertise at the University of Antwerp from 2004 to 2008, where they successfully completed a Master's degree with a focus on Nursing and Midwifery.

Throughout their educational journey, Kurt's dedication to healthcare and nurturing others is evident as they undertook a range of nursing and healthcare-related degree programs. The combination of their linguistic skills, nursing qualifications, and specialized training in emergency and critical care equip Kurt with a comprehensive background in healthcare.
