Amit Butala is an experienced professional in applied machine learning and engineering leadership, currently serving as Sr. Staff at Rippling since May 2024, where focus is on developing machine learning solutions for business efficiency. As a Technical Advisor at Proshort, Amit contributes to product strategy and state-of-the-art ML architecture. Previously, Amit held engineering leadership roles at Paxos, responsible for stablecoin infrastructure and transaction API scaling, and at Abacus.AI as Director of Engineering, managing product engineering and customer success. A Tech Lead at Facebook, Amit focused on AI applied research and lifecycle management, while earlier roles included founding engineer at Luminate Wireless and principal engineer at SpiderCloud Wireless. Amit's technical expertise is backed by an educational foundation with an MS in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University and a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
