Gaurav Mishra

Gaurav Mishra has an extensive work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Gaurav is currently the Chief Executive Officer at Proshort, a position they have held since March 2022. Prior to this, they worked at ShareChat as the Senior Vice President from November 2020 to February 2022.

Before ShareChat, Gaurav worked at Uber as the Head of Product for UberAI, Data & MP Platforms from June 2016 to October 2020. Gaurav also served as the VP of Product Management at Relcy, Inc. from September 2014 to May 2016.

Gaurav's career also includes positions at Facebook as a Product Manager from March 2014 to September 2014, and at Yahoo as the Director of Software Systems from January 2010 to March 2014. At Yahoo, they led the engineering and product team responsible for building an Entity Graph for search purposes.

In addition, Gaurav was the Co-Founder and COO of Guruji.com, an Indian search engine, from January 2006 to October 2008. Gaurav was involved in the development of the search engine, including crawling and indexing India-specific content, as well as building an advertising engine.

Gaurav's early career includes various software engineering and product roles at Microsoft and startups. Gaurav joined Microsoft in 1997 through the acquisition of PdaApps, a company they worked closely with. During their time there, they focused on developing mobile instant messaging solutions, including writing mobile apps for platforms like Blackberry and Treo.

Gaurav Mishra has pursued their education in the field of Computer Science. Gaurav completed their Bachelor's degree, BTech, at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. Gaurav furthered their studies by pursuing a Master's degree, MS, at the University at Buffalo.
