Head Of Strategic Partnerships at Prospection

Karthik Margabandu has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Most recently, they hold the position of Analytics & Solutions Lead at Prospection since December 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Product Analytics and Support Manager at the same company from February 2022 to December 2022.

Before joining Prospection, Karthik worked at Tech Mahindra as an Engagement & Delivery Manager from August 2021 to February 2022.

Karthik has also gained significant experience at Mu Sigma Inc., where they worked for several roles. From December 2018 to July 2021, they worked as an Engagement Manager, overseeing day-to-day operations and a P/L for a large Financial Services organization in Australia. During this time, they navigated the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic and achieved significant revenue growth. Karthik also played a key role in establishing a strategic partnership between Mu Sigma and a boutique Management Consulting firm in Sydney.

Prior to their role as an Engagement Manager, Karthik held the position of Associate from August 2017 to September 2017, during which they worked on legal and risk portfolios for a leading BFSI firm in Sydney. Karthik then transitioned into the role of Associate with a focus on the Life Insurance Regulatory Portfolio from September 2017 to December 2018, where they successfully managed P&L for Mu Sigma's legal, risk, and life insurance business verticals.

Karthik's journey at Mu Sigma began as a Trainee Decision Scientist from June 2015 to January 2017, where they underwent a training program and utilized their skills in SQL, R, basic stats, problem definition, and project management to provide data-driven decision making for a leading Australian telecom provider. Karthik then progressed to the role of Decision Scientist from January 2017 to July 2017, leading a team in developing a scoring/ranking framework for a leading insurer in Australia.

Before their corporate experience, Karthik had entrepreneurial experiences as an Independent Business Owner of a t-shirt business called Jack of all Threads from April 2015 to August 2015. During that time, they achieved a profit margin of 83.3% and turnover of Rs. 1.

Additionally, they worked as the Head of Corporate Relations at Doosradeal, India's first e-commerce marketplace for second-hand college textbooks, from July 2014 to December 2014. In this role, they conceptualized the platform's details and strategies for revenue generation, fundraising, alliances, partnerships, and social media marketing.

Karthik also gained experience through internships, including a General Management Trainee position at The Elitists in 2014, where they supported the leadership team on business research and analysis, executive talent mapping, core business operations, and company case study analysis. Karthik also served as a General Management Trainee (Intern) at The Elitists from December 2013 to January 2014, managing and ensuring seamless business operations.

Karthik'searliest work experience was as a Web Content Administrator at blogVault from September 2012 to September 2013, where they worked as a content writer and supported the core team in administering content. Karthik also conducted qualitative research on marketing techniques.

Karthik Margabandu completed their Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Mechanical Engineering from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore from 2011 to 2015. Before that, they attended Sir Sivaswami Kalalaya Senior Secondary School for their High School education in Mathematics and Computer Science from 2000 to 2011. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications including a Decision Scientist - Beginner certification from Mu Sigma Inc. in January 2017, a Statement of Accomplishment with Distinction from Coursera in November 2014, and a Statement of Accomplishment from Coursera in August 2014.
