Lucy Zhao

Lucy Zhao is a dedicated medical student at the University of Toronto, anticipated to earn a Doctor of Medicine degree in May 2028. Currently serving as a Research Student and involved in thesis work at The Hospital for Sick Children since May 2023, Lucy also holds the position of Research Analyst at Flutter Care Inc. since May 2021, where user research and literature review on technology applications in maternal-fetal health are primary responsibilities. As Chair and Founder of Prospective Medical Professionals - PuMP, Lucy has fostered opportunities in health sciences for over 5000 youth through a network of 350+ volunteers across Canada since 2018. Additionally, as Executive Director of PowerUp, a mentorship program in collaboration with STEM Fellowship, Lucy has facilitated mentorship connections between high school students and university mentors in biology across five provinces since 2019. Lucy previously earned a Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours) from McMaster University from 2020 to 2024.
