Jared Brown

As Vice President of People and Places at Prosper Marketplace, Jared is responsible for driving human performance by creating a positive and engaging employee experience, including talent acquisition, people operations, employee development and workplace services.

Jared has spent the last 20 years devoted to supporting employees and leaders in reaching their full potential. Prior to joining Prosper, Jared spent time as a consultant helping companies and teams to address gaps in their employee engagement and development. Before consulting, Jared led multiple people disciplines at Peet’s Coffee, where he helped to build a topnotch employee culture that was critical to major business growth. Jared also spent several years leading the development of leadership programs throughout Gap Inc., supporting world-class brands including Banana Republic, Gap and Old Navy across the globe. He began his career in human resources at American Express supporting their technologies division and working with leaders to develop employees in both technical and soft skills.

Jared received a B.A. in English from the University of Utah and is passionate about learning something new every day.
