Hope Whitney

Hope Whitney is an accomplished legal professional currently serving as General Counsel at Prosper Portland since January 2020, where responsibilities include providing legal advice, drafting complex transaction documents, and managing legal teams. Prior to this role, Hope held the position of Assistant General Counsel at Metro from October 2010 to January 2020, leading legal efforts for parks and nature programs and overseeing a $475 million bond program. Earlier experience includes positions at Ball Janik LLP, Farella Braun + Martel LLP, and as a law clerk for US District Court in Oregon. Educational qualifications include a JD in Law and an MCP in City Planning from the University of California, Berkeley, as well as a BA in Political Science from Amherst College.
