Amanda Dittmann

Senior Director of Global GCP/GLP Compliance at ProtaGene

Amanda Dittmann has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. From 2022 onwards, they worked at ProtaGene as a Senior Director of Global GCP/GLP Compliance. Prior to that, they were the Director of Quality Management at the same company.

Before joining ProtaGene, Amanda worked at GeneWerk from 2019 to 2022. There, they held the position of Head of Quality Management, Senior Quality Manager, and Quality Manager, respectively.

From 2016 to 2019, Amanda worked at Applied Biological Materials. Amanda'srole at Applied Biological Materials included managing the cell line department, overseeing various tasks such as CRISPR stable cell line generation, propagation, quality control, and laboratory handling processes. Prior to that, they were a Research and Development Associate, focusing on process development in the Cell Culture and Molecular Biology Department.

In 2015, Amanda worked as a Laboratory Technician in the QA department at gardein™, where they collected analytical data on vegan, gluten-free, and organic food products for benchmarking and improvement. Amanda also implemented SQF policies and followed SOPs and ISO guidelines.

Amanda's earlier work experience includes a brief stint as a Research Assistant at Memorial University of Newfoundland in 2015, and an internship as an R&D Engineer at Roche from 2014 to 2015. At Roche, they worked on developing new valving protocols for a microfluidic point-of-care disk platform and designed an aliquotation structure for blood plasma for immunological point-of-care platforms.

Amanda started their career as a Student Assistant at Hochschule Mannheim - Faculty of Microbiology in 2013 and later worked as an Infection Control Assistant at HorizonAire, where they completed quality control checks, developed disinfection protocols, and ensured compliance with safety standards and regulations.

Amanda Dittmann completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Biochemistry from Memorial University of Newfoundland, where they studied from 2009 to 2013. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Biotechnology with a specialization in Biomedical Science and Technology from Hochschule Mannheim, which they completed from 2013 to 2015.

In addition to their formal education, Amanda Dittmann has obtained several certifications. In 2009, they received a certification in WHMIS from Memorial University of Newfoundland. Amanda later obtained certifications in AutoCAD LT 2014 from Urban Tetrasys in October 2014, Food Safety from Vivid Learning Systems in March 2016, and HACCP from Timely Intervention Limited in March 2016. In March 2019, they obtained certifications in GCLP and ICH-GCP Interactive from Whitehall Training. Amanda'smost recent certifications include Audit Trail Review from ECA Foundation & ECA Academy in December 2020 and GCP Refresher Training from GCP-Service International in February 2021.
