Meilyn Sylvestre

Meilyn Sylvestre, PhD, is a Scientist II at Protagonist Therapeutics as of April 2024. Previously, Meilyn held the position of Scientist I at OncoResponse Inc. from November 2021 to May 2023, focusing on the development of immunological assays for antibody therapeutics and contributing to lead antibody clone selection. Prior research experience includes a role as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Washington, where Meilyn co-authored 11 papers on biomaterial-mediated drug delivery and developed strategies to enhance the safety of protein therapeutics. Additionally, Meilyn worked as an Undergraduate Student Researcher at Case Western Reserve University, contributing to metastatic tumor model development, and completed a Reliability Engineer Co-op at Philips Healthcare. Meilyn earned a PhD in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from the University of Washington and a Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University.
