Protect Our Winters
Troy Murphy is an accomplished financial analyst at Goldman Sachs since June 2021, having previously served as a summer analyst at the firm in August 2020. Murphy's involvement in sports is highlighted by a leadership role as a board member for U.S. Ski & Snowboard, representing freestyle athletes on various committees. As an athlete ambassador for Protect Our Winters since July 2019, Murphy advocates for environmental initiatives within the sports community. Murphy also contributed to Falcon Productions in sales and marketing from September 2020 to June 2021 and served as head coach for the Park City Ski & Snowboard Team from August 2019 to July 2020. Previously, Murphy was a professional athlete from 2013 to 2018, competing as a Winter Olympian and a two-time World Championship team member. Academic credentials include a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Utah, obtained in 2021, and prior education at Gould Academy from 2006 to 2010.

Protect Our Winters is the environmental center point of the winter sports community. Founded by pro snowboarder Jeremy Jones in 2007, we are united towards a common goal of reducing climate change's effects on our sport and local mountain communities. With over 140,000 supporters worldwide, POW re-invests public and private contributions into educational initiatives, advocacy and supporting community-based initiatives that have tangible results.
