Jean Crevoisier

Jean Crevoisier is the current Chief Risk and Legal Officer at Protectas SA. Prior to this, they served as Head of Legal Services and General Secretary at CRH Swiss Distribution from June 2007 to June 2019. In this role, they were responsible for the legal compliance of the Swiss distribution activities of CRH plc, a global leader in production and distribution of building materials. This included overseeing all aspects of business law, corporate law, and legal compliance for the company.

Jean has a long history of working in the legal field, dating back to their graduation from law school in France. After working as a lawyer in a private practice for several years, they joined the legal department of a large French corporation. Jean then spent a few years working as in-house counsel for a multinational company before joining CRH Swiss Distribution in 2007.

At CRH Swiss Distribution, Jean was responsible for overseeing all legal matters for the company. This included drafting and negotiating all types of agreements, handling product liability issues, managing competition law compliance, and overseeing the intellectual property of the company. In addition, they were responsible for coordinating all board meetings and general assemblies, and oversaw the merger and liquidation of companies.

In their role as Head of Legal Services and General Secretary, Jean was also responsible for compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. This included ensuring that employees received adequate training on compliance issues such as anti-fraud measures, data protection regulations, and competition law. In addition, they managed the hotline for investigations and handled trade association memberships.

Jean’s extensive experience in the legal field has allowed their to develop a deep understanding of risk management and compliance issues. This has been invaluable in their current role as Chief Risk and Legal Officer at Protectas SA. In this role, they are responsible for overseeing all risk management and compliance issues for the company. This includes identifying potential risks, developing mitigation strategies, and ensuring that the company complies with all applicable laws and regulations.

Jean Crevoisier studied at the Europa Institut, where they took an English course for lawyers. Jean then went on to study at Heidelberg University, where they earned their master's degree in law. Jean also holds a Diplôme de Sommelier from the Ecole des Vins et Spiritueux. Jean then earned their Lic. iur. from the Université de Fribourg - Universität Freiburg. Jean also has a Maturité fédérale type A from the Institut Florimont - Genève. Jean also holds a masters from the Ecole cantonale de Berne. Finally, they passed the Bar exam at the University of Bern.

Jean Crevoisier reports to Yves Berchten, Chief Executive Officer. Jean Crevoisier works with Frank Dantand - Chief Operating Officer, Jean Schacht - HR Manager, and Barbara Schumacher - Chief Marketing and Communications Officer.
