Stephen Gaughan

Stephen Gaughan is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in the financial services sector. As Director and Co-Founder at Protego Technologies Ltd since January 2020, Stephen is responsible for establishing a technology center in Dublin for a US-based payment transaction service provider. Previously, Stephen served as Lead Architect at Equifax Technology (Ireland) Limited, where contributions included the establishment of the Dublin Technology Centre and overseeing global capabilities in credit decisioning and fraud services. Stephen co-founded Finnua to provide consulting services in online banking and payments, and held roles at Dun & Bradstreet, ACI Worldwide, Rockall Technologies, S1 Corporation, WBT Systems, and EDS, demonstrating a strong engineering and architectural background in technology solutions. Stephen holds a Master of Business Studies from UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School and a Bachelor of Commerce from University College Dublin.
