Eric Makhni

Eric Makhni MD MBA is a distinguished medical professional and entrepreneur currently serving as the CEO and Co-Founder of Protera Health since September 2021. Makhni has been the Team Physician for the Detroit Lions (NFL) since March 2018 and holds the position of Clinical Associate Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Wayne State University School of Medicine since July 2020. Additionally, Makhni is an Attending Physician in Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine at Henry Ford Health System, where a role as Director of Quality and Informatics was held from July 2020 to May 2024.
