Michael Lesage

Mr. LeSage is a Managing Director for Proterra Investment Partners where he helps direct Proterra’s agricultural investment activities in North America

Prior to Proterra, Mr. LeSage worked for Cargill, where he served as President and Business Leader of Cargill Risk Management (CRM). Before his role as President, Mr. LeSage managed CRM’s North and Latin American Feed and Biofuels derivatives team and became a Vice President and Global Sales Manager for the business’ largest product line. Before taking the role of Vice President, Mr. LeSage moved to Singapore to start CRM’s business in Asia, managing commodity derivative sales activity across 13 countries. Mr. LeSage’s career with Cargill began in grain merchandising in Sioux City, Iowa.

Mr. LeSage holds a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, Cum Laude, from the University of Minnes
