Tom Howell

Mr. Howell is a Managing Director of Proterra Investment Partners and is a member of the team overseeing the Proterra Credit Fund.

Prior to Proterra, Mr. Howell worked at Elanco Animal Health, where he served as head of global strategy, and previous to that worked in Mergers and Acquisitions. Before Elanco, Mr. Howell was a portfolio manager for Black River Asset Management, managing the agriculture/food book within the long short equity fund while working closely with Cargill business units in protein production and grain/oilseed processing. Prior to Black River, Mr. Howell worked for Red Sky Partners and Ameriprise Financial in various mutual fund and hedge fund roles. Previously, he worked with JP Morgan as a credit officer, working with teams to structure loans and perform loan portfolio evaluations.

Mr. Howell holds a Masters of Business Administration in Finance and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Indiana University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA ®) charterholder.
